Just in time to help you to avoid spending “Black Friday” at the mall, we’re happy to announce our new 2009 calendar. We’ve lovingly put together a collection of our favorite recipes and photographs designed to inspire eating seasonally and locally. This is a handmade product from start to finish and would make a great gift.
Each page is 4 1/4″ x 11″, printed on 100% post consumer recycled fiber photo paper with fine archival ink and is held together with a magnet clip for hanging. We’ve printed the recipes on the back 2 cards for easy reference and storage.
Our other exciting news is the opening of our new on-line shop at Etsy.com, a fabulous site designed to showcase handmade and vintage items. Our shop is called MixedGreens Market . We’ll be selling our calendars, photo cards, shopping bags and a whole array of vintage housewares. We hope to promote the idea of reuse and recycling with all sorts of eclectic finds. We’re just getting set up so check back frequently as we’ll be adding new things often. (If you go to Etsy, you have to search “mixedgreensmarket”, all one word, under “sellers” to find us).
If you want to see our beautiful calendars in person you can find them at Click in West Seattle. Click, owned by friends John and Frances Smersh, is the coolest local shop around. They feature their own exquisite line of contemporary jewelry along with a wonderful collection of home furnishings and accessories. If you’ve never been, check it out. It’s one of our favorite places to shop for gifts.
If you have the desire to scale back this holiday season, a good alternative is handmade or recycled gifts. If you’re planning to make gifts yourself, we hope to provide some inspiration. If you don’t have time to make everything yourself, go to firstname.lastname@example.org.
